TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its weekly award winners for Week 11 of the 2026 Men's Volleyball season.
Chatham first year outside hitter
Derek Paul earned the PAC Newcomer of the Week Award after two stellar performances this past week. On Wednesday at Thiel, the Mechanicsburg native recorded 9 kills and had 5 digs. Then on Saturday in the Cougars' victory over Saint Vincent, Paul amassed 16 kills while hitting .375, additionally racking up 11 digs, a block, an ace and an assist.
Paul currently leads all PAC freshman in kills per set with 2.77 on the year, ranking eighth overall in the conference. The Cumberland Valley product also has the ninth-most digs per set in the PAC with 2.04.
Saturday's win helped Chatham clinch the third seed in the upcoming PAC Tournament. After Wednesday's regular-season finale at the Athletic and Fitness Center against Grove City, Paul and the Cougars will host a PAC Quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday, April 7.
