PITTSBURGH, PA - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released their first round of weekly awards for the Women's Lacrosse season. Among the four players recognized, the Cougars had a pair of first years recognized.
Sara Kaesshaefer was named the PAC Offensive Player of the Week and
Bella Walski-Rodriguez was named the PAC Newcomer of the Week.
In the Cougars 2-0 start to the season, first year
Sara Kaesshaefer scored a team high six goals. She recorded four goals in the Cougars 17-5 victory at Muskingum and two more in the Cougars 9-7 win at Marietta. Kaesshaefer was an efficient 6 of 9 shooting for the week.
Fellow first year
Bella Walski-Rodriguez also recorded six goals for the Cougars in the Cougars 2-0 week. Walski-Rodriguez recorded three goals in each game, while also corralling five ground balls and causing two turnovers.
Kaesshaefer, Walski-Rodriguez, and the Cougars will be back in action on Saturday February 28th at 1 PM when they take on Ohio Northern in Ada, Ohio.
