Women's Lacrosse Picked to Finish Third in PAC Preseason Poll

TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Thursday, The Presidents' Athletic Conference, PAC, released the women's lacrosse preseason poll and players to watch. The Cougars were picked to finish third after making the conference championship game at the end of the 2025 season.

Prior to the 2025 season, the Cougars were also picked to finish third, where they finished in the regular season. The Cougars received 74 points, just two points behind Washington & Jefferson in second and one point ahead of Westminster in fourth. The Cougars are coming off of their second and third postseason wins in program history, the first coming in the 2024 season. The Cougars then advanced to their first PAC Championship Game after a thrilling semifinals win. The Cougars set single season records in wins (11) and PAC wins (7).

The Cougars had five players listed as players to watch; senior Becca Baker, juniors Meghan Cuza-Berry and Sarah Holt, and freshmen Campbell Murphy and Marcella Valentine. Cuza-Berry was named to the PAC All-Tournament team after last season's postseason run.

Baker recorded 15 ground balls and 8 caused turnovers in her junior season while Cuza-Berry recorded a 9.29 goals against average with 145 saves recording eight wins in her sophomore season.

The Cougars will begin their season on February 18th when they travel to play Muskingum at 5 PM.
