PITTSBURGH, PA – Chatham Baseball (12-14, 4-6 PAC) split their doubleheader with Saint Vincent (12-13, 3-5) on Saturday, winning game one 3-1 but falling in game two 5-4.

Nolan Boehm tripled in the first inning of game one and scored on the same play after a Bearcat throw got away. His hit brought in
Angelo DeLeonardis to give the Cougars an early 2-0 lead.
Cooper Baxter held the Saint Vincent bats in check for five innings, but the Bearcats were able to get a run across in the sixth inning to make it a 2-1 ballgame. In the bottom half of the inning,
Eddie Rueda's base hit scored
Devin Fluhmann, giving Chatham a 3-1 lead they would preserve for the rest of the game.
Cason Bennett and
Tyler Cote closed out the game one victory on the mound.

Baxter earned the win, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits in 5.2 innings.
Cason Bennett allowed no hits in his 1.1 innings of work in game one, and
Tyler Cote tossed 2 shutout innings while allowing just one hit to earn the save. At the plate,
Nolan Boehm went 1-3 with an RBI, scored, and drew a walk.
Devin Fluhmann was 1-3 with a rwalk and a run scored, and
Eddie Rueda went 1-4 with an RBI.

Neither team scored a run in the first three innings of game, but the Bearcats broke through in the fourth to take a 2-0 advantage. The Cougars got a run back in the bottom half of the inning when
Dominic Obiecunas drove in DeLeonardis on a base hit for his first RBI of the season.
Ty Blackburn's bunt single in the sixth tied the game when Boehm scored from third base. Chatham jumped on top in the seventh when DeLeonardis came around to score on an
Eddie Rueda double and Boehm's base hit brought him home to make the score 4-2. Unfortunately for the Cougars, they could not hold on to the lead as Saint Vincent put 3 unearned runs on the board in the top of the ninth inning to steal a one-run victory.

Angelo DeLeonardis went 2-5 and scored twice.
Ty Blackburn and
Dominic Obiecunas were both 1-3 with an RBI.
Matt Bamford pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit.

The Cougars will travel north to Westminster for their next PAC doubleheader, which begins at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
