PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On Wednesday, the Cougars will play their first home Men's hockey playoff game since February 2022. They will host the Nazareth Golden Flyers at Alpha Ice Complex at 5:30 PM.
The two teams have played four times earlier this season and have played more minutes on the ice of any two team matchup in the UCHC this season. The Cougars won the regular season series 2-1-1. The two teams played three playoff games with the Cougars winning two in overtime and tying one where the Cougars won the shootout.
The last time these teams played in the postseason was February 23, 2022, the Cougars won the game 4-2 for their first and still only postseason victory in program history.
The winner of this game will play again on Saturday March 1. Their opponent is still to be determined.
