PITTSBURGH, PA - On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released their award winners for the men's soccer week of October 27-November 5. Included in the group of players recognized was junior Cougar
Maxwell Cottrill.
Cottrill was named PAC Goalkeeper of the Week after a big final game of the season for the Cougars against Hiram last week.
Cottrill played all 90 minutes of the game against the Terriers and closed the season with a shutout. This shutout allowed the Cougars to finish their season with a 0-0 tie and earn one final point.
In order to earn his shutout this past week, Cottrill was a key player in the back line as he made 13 saves on the night.
Cottrill finished the regular season ranked first in the PAC in save percentage (.878) and saves per match (6.00).
