PITTSBURGH - Chatham Men's Lacrosse (5-5, 0-1) suffered a 10-6 defeat to the Westminster Titans (6-3, 1-0) on Friday night at UPMC Graham Field. The loss marks the Cougars' first ever defeat in a PAC opener.

Chatham opened the game with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Stanuikynas and Marsh. The Titans scored their first goal at 4:03, but the Cougars regained a two goal lead on a score from Rinker. Westminster found a rhythm and scored twice in the final 1:28 of the first quarter to tie the game at 3.
The Titans took their first lead of the day on a man-up goal at 11:06 in the second quarter. A marker from Griffin under a minute later knotted the game up once more. Westminster took 5-4 lead before a scoreless seven minutes to end the half.
The Titans grew their lead to two to start the third quarter, then the two teams traded scores before a goal from Curtin made it 7-6. Westminster would use a 3-0 to end the third quarter and take control. A scoreless fourth quarter sealed the game for the Titans.
Shots were 44-28 in favor of the Titans, but the Cougars won the faceoff battle 13-7. Chatham came up empty on its only extra-man opportunity, while Westmister went 1-2.
Men's Lacrosse is back in action next Saturday to celebrate Senior Day when they take on Bethany.
