PITTSBURGH, Pa. - May 2, 2023 - Chatham Women's Lacrosse lost its PAC Quarterfinal matchup with the Grove City Wolverines Tuesday night at UPMC Graham Field. The Cougars end their historic season with 10 total wins and six conference wins, each program records.
In a defensive first quarter, the Wolverines scored first with 8:58 left, but the Cougars answered back with goals from junior midfielder

Selena Justus to take a 2-1 lead. Grove City scored three unanswered and ended the quarter with a 4-3 lead. In the second quarter, Justus scored four more times as the two teams went into the break tied at 8. The Wolverines took a 9-8 lead just 50 seconds into the second half, and sophomore midfielder
Erin Goodwin responded to tie the game again just 13 seconds later. The Wolverines scored the next six goals and took a 15-10 lead into the final frame. Junior midfielder
Sam Beall-Dennell scored just six seconds into the fourth quarter, but the Cougars could not get a comeback going as the Wolverines defense stood tall.
Justus ended the day with five goals. Hutter had three goals and senior attacker
Phallon Kilduff added three assists. Goodwin and Beall-Dennell each had seven draw controls.
Shots on goal were 20-19 in favor of Grove City and the Wolverines led in draw controls 18-14.
Women's Lacrosse broke multiple team records this season, including new highs for goals, assists, points and draw controls.
