PITTSBURGH, Pa. – February 24, 2022 – For the second time in program history, the Chatham University men's basketball team is going to the PAC Championship game. It held off a feisty Westminster College team Thursday night 72-62 in the PAC semifinals.
While it was not as dominant as the last meeting, Chatham controlled most of the game, leading for all but the first 33 seconds. The Cougars expanded their first half lead to as high as 13, but the Titans went on a 9-0 run late to make it a one-possession game. As the buzzer sounded, sophomore
Simon Boyer tipped it in to put Chatham ahead by four.
In the second half, the Cougars used a combination of tough defense and timely shooting to put away the Titans for the third time this season. Senior
Malik Potter erupted for 15 second half points. Chatham never trailed in the second half, rolling to a 10-point win.
For the game, Chatham shot 49% from the field, including 50% in the second half. It also out-rebounded Westminster 39-37 and led in almost every category. Potter led all scorers with 24 points. Junior

Ben Pollock recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards, while Boyer had 10.
The Cougars head to the PAC Championship game, which will be played on Saturday evening.
