PITTSBURGH, Pa. – September 11, 2021 – The Chatham women's soccer team looked to improve its record to 2-1 during Saturday afternoon's home game with Oberlin. Unfortunately, the Cougars fell to the Yeowomen by a 1-0 score.
The first half was an even affair, with the Cougars outshooting the Yeowomen by an 8-5 tally but the Cougars took the final four shots of the first half. Meanwhile, the second half featured a plethora of Chatham shots. The Cougars outshot the Yeowomen 15-3 in the second half but could not find the back of the net.
In the waning minutes of the contest, Oberlin's third shot of the second half snuck past the Cougar defense and ended up in the back of the net with 3:24 to go.
Despite the score, Chatham held advantages in every category except for saves. It outshot the Yeowomen 23-8 including 9-4 on goal, attempted a pair of corners compared to Oberlin's one, and had four fouls in contrast to the six Yeowomen fouls.

Morgan Anderson took three shots, all of which were on goal. Juniors
Greta Mort and
Maggie Toomey both took a pair of attempts. Junior
Tyler Colburn took the loss in net despite making three saves.
Chatham hits the road on Wednesday when it travels to Pitt-Greensburg for a 4:00 match.
