STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – October 23, 2021 – With its back against the wall at halftime, the Chatham women's soccer team scored twice in the second half and in overtime to get past Franciscan Saturday on the road. The win puts Chatham back in the win column at 8-5-1 and 6-2 in PAC play.
The first half was an even affair, with both the Cougars and the Barons notching five shots. However, the lone goal scored in the first half was by the hosts in the 22
nd minute. Initially, the Cougars started with first-year

Tyler Colburn into the first half.
Ehrlich came back in to start the second half, where she finished the game. Chatham came out as the aggressor in the second half, more than doubling up on shots over Franciscan 12-5. The Cougars drew even in the 65
th minute when graduate
Kyla Kelley found junior
Cassidy Martin who fired in her first goal of the season, a critical one that put the game at 1-1.
It didn't take long for the Cougars to score in the overtime period. Senior
Morgan Anderson had the ball in the near corner of the pitch and swung it to the goal box. After Franciscan punched the ball out, junior
Maggie Toomey chested the ball in and secured the come-from-behind win for Chatham.
The Cougars outshot Franciscan 19-10 for the match and 9-6 on goal. The Cougars also had six corners, five of which came in the second half and overtime period. Toomey and junior
Emily Harvey, first-year
Hannah Thomas and senior
Emily Martz played all 93:50 for the Cougars. Sophomore
Malia Hinton had two shots on goal while Anderson, first-years
Lauren Hall and
Bianca Brumsted, Martz, junior
