Chatham improves to 3-1 with victory over Muskingum

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – MARCH 14th, 2018 – Chatham improved to 3-1 on the season after defeating Muskingum 18-7.  
 
THE SHORT STORY
The Cougars took control of the game in the first quarter scoring five unanswered goals in the first eight minutes. At the end of the first 15 minutes, Chatham held a 6-3 edge. The Cougars outscored the Fighting Muskies 3-1 in the second quarter. Chatham would go on to dominate Muskingum in the final 30 minutes. The Muskies could not keep up with nine more Cougar goals. Chatham's defense held Muskingum to only three goals in the second half.
 
KEY COUGARS
Will Petraglia led the Cougars in scoring with six goals. Kyle Prewitt registered three goals off of four shots. Tyler Hayes, Dillon Dugan and Adam Bleess each finished with two goals. Bleess added two assists. Ben Neal, Wesley Williams and Matthew Ho all found the back of the net once. Neal added six groundballs. Williams and Zachery Taylor tabbed three groundballs apiece. In the faceoff X, Alec Vissotski went 23-for-27, picking up 18 groundballs. Vissotski also recorded two assists. Jacob Sivley earned three caused turnovers. In goal, Kyle Peterson recorded eight saves with seven goals against.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
