Chatham Swept by Point Park

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WASHINGTON, Pa. –MARCH 21st, 2017 – The Chatham Cougars took on Point Park at the Washington Wild Things Park. The Cougars fell 7-0 and 10-1 to the Pioneers.

The Basics
  • Records: Chatham (3-5) Point Park (15-7)
  • Location: Washington Wild Things Park in Washington, Pa.
 
Game 1
  • The Cougars fell the Pioneers 7-0.
  • Point Park took an early lead in the first inning and Chatham was unable to recover.
  • Tyler Peyman was one of two Chatham hits for the day with a double in the fifth inning.
  • Drew Brannon also earned a hit for the Cougars.
  • Connor Paul pitched five innings, surrendering six runs, seven hits, and striking out one.
 
Game 2
  • Chatham fell behind early once again and couldn't come back in a 10-1 loss to Point Park.
  • Nick Ramsey, Tyler Peyman, Hunter Steele, and Cameron Moeller each managed one hit for the Cougars.
  • Adam Cerar pitched three innings for Chatham.
  • Austin Ferris would score the sole run off of a single by Nick Ramsey.

  • The Cougars take on Hiram this weekend in a varsity doubleheader on March 25th and a single game on the 26th.

About Chatham Athletics 
Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. The athletic program is housed on Chatham's historic and beautiful Shadyside Campus in the $18 million, 74,000 square foot Athletic and Fitness Center (AFC). Chatham University will be unveiling a renovated weight room on September 1st 2017. Cougar athletes excel on the field and in the classroom, as illustrated by recent accomplishments such as 52 student athletes being selected to the 2016 Presidents' Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll. 

Women's sports at Chatham include basketball, cross country, ice hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, track & field, and volleyball. Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
