Cougars compete in Crimson Hawk Fall Invitational

INDIANA, Pa – NOVEMBER 11th, 2017 – The Chatham University Women's Swimming and Diving team competed in the Crimson Hawk Fall Invitational. The Cougars defeated WV Tech 145-87 and fell to IUP 187-73.    

RELAYS: The Cougar quartet of Iris Marzolf, Paige Garase, Christine Mikita and Gwyneth Curbishley earned a third place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:05.23.

FREESTYLE: Christine Mikita won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:11.40. In the 50 yard freestyle, Mikita touched the wall at 26.31 for a second place finish. Jade Marzolf finished second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 57.99. Mikita clocked in at 5:29.20 for a second place finish in the 500 yard freestyle.

BACKSTROKE: Malloy Marzolf placed first in the 100 yard backstroke stopping the clock at 1:00.40. In the 200 yard backstroke, Marzolf won with a time of 2:10.67.

BUTTERFLY: Jade Marzolf tabbed third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.71.

IM: Mallory Marzolf set the school record in the 400 IM with a first place finish and a time of 4:41.06.

WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham takes on PAC foe Westminster on November 18th in New Wilmington, Pa.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
