PSU-B Results

Pittsburgh, Pa. – (11/8/2014) –
The Chatham Cougar Swimming and Diving team had an eventful day. At home in the AFC, the Cougar swimmers would beat the Lions of PSU-Behrend 148-127. Meanwhile, members of the diving team would compete on the second day of a two day diving event at Carnegie Mellon.

Junior free/back swimmer and diver Alexis Rectenwald set a second school record today in the 1 meter dive, with a score of 284.10, the previous mark of 280.20 was set by Rectenwald only days ago. Rectenwald also finished third today in the 3 meter dive.

First year Katie Lee (Leesburg, Va.) won the 200-meter backstroke, as well as the 200-meter freestyle. Sophomore Elina Lankinen (Espoo, Finland) won the 200-meter breaststroke, while sophomore Theresa Schrider (Frederick, Md.) won the 50-meter freestyle. First year Anna Wolhaupter (Watertown, Wi.) also won the 100-meter freestyle today.

Third year Head Coach Christina "Tilly" Sheets said " With this third home meet in one week, we were able to see how we can work together as a team and bounce back after multiple races. Today was a great test for us, and we will see PSU Behrend again at our Championship Meet in Grove City in February."

Chatham will host PAC rival Westminster College on Saturday November 22nd at 1:00 p.m.
