Box Score PITTSBURGH, PA – Playing in her first collegiate match,
Heathir McIntyre led the Chatham University Volleyball team with nine kills, but the Cougars fell in straight sets to host La Roche College, 25-13, 25-16, 25-18. Chatham is now 0-1, while the Redhawks improve to 3-2.
Just behind McIntyre's nine kills were seven by
Mareija Bibbs and three by
Aminata Dieng.
Arisa Tanimoto tallied three kills and
Jade Lawson nailed one.
Erin Smith led the way with 11 assists while Tanimoto had seven. Tanimoto, also playing in her first collegiate match, also had two service aces and five digs.
Maria Bagnato led Chatham with 12 digs, while Bibbs, McIntyre, and Smith all tallied ten. Bibbs had five blocks.
Chatham plays two more games at the La Roche Tournament tomorrow, Saturday, September 7. The Cougars face Waynesburg University at 10:00am and D'Youville College at 1:00pm.
