W&J Defeats Chatham Swimming & Diving 126-85

WASHINGTON, PA – The Chatham University Swimming & Diving team fell to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington & Jefferson College 126-85 on Wednesday.
 
The Cougars took first place in four events, including both diving events.  Alexis Rectenwald won the 1 meter event with 190.85 points, while Kianna Hedjazi won the 3 meter dive with 206.25 points.  Chatham took the top two spots in the 100 yd. backstroke, as Claudia Smith won in 1:13.57 and Mary Watt-Morse took second place with a time of 1:53.23.
 
The 200 yd. freestyle relay team of Smith, Kaylee LaPosta, Paige Carrigan, and Brianna Young came in first place in a time of 2:07.40.
 
Chatham will return to action on Friday, November 22, when they travel to Penn State-Behrend.  Meet time is set for 6:00pm.
