Trevor Beerman

Trevor Beerman enters his second year as Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Coach for the Chatham Baseball team. In his first season he helped guide the Cougars to a new single season wins record, along with a program best in the following categories: on-base percentage, runs, doubles, triples, home runs, runs batted in, slugging percentage and walks. Beerman also helped recruit the biggest class in school history.

Beerman comes to Chatham most recently from Division II University of Charleston in West Virginia, where he served as the Recruiting Coordinator. He also lent his coaching experience to both the outfielders and hitters while standing in at third base coach during games.

Prior to his time with the Golden Eagles, Beerman again worked with outfielders and hitters while handling recruiting operations at Hillsdale College in the fall of 2020. He served under former Hillsdale head coach and current assistant hitting coordinator with the Milwaukee Brewers organization, Eric Theisen.

Before his stint at Hillsdale, Beerman served a two-year term as an assistant coach at Bluffton University, where Rush has previously worked as well. While at Bluffton, he was responsible for the team's hitting, infield, and outfield development while also handling daily operations within the program.

For his own playing career, Beerman was a right-handed pitcher for the Division II Malone University Pioneers. As a reliever in his senior year, he was on the mound for 12 games, allowing runs in only four of those appearances. Unsurprisingly, Beerman was part of Malone squads that made two G-MAC tournament appearances and achieved two runner-up finishes.

While at Malone, he also served as president and head coach of the Columbus Storm, a travel baseball organization. After his stint with the Storm, Beerman served as the head coach and Assistant Director of Recruiting, Scouting, and Tournaments for the Midwest Marlins 16U and 17U teams, helping over 100 high school baseball players earn roles in over 40 different collegiate baseball programs, many of which received academic and athletic scholarships.

A Canal Winchester, Ohio native, Beerman graduated from Canal Winchester High before attending Malone, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Sports Management. At Bluffton, he rounded out his academic career with a Master of Business Administration degree.
