GREENSBURG, Pa. - Chatham Women's Volleyball (1-0, 0-0 PAC) hit the road to open their 2026 season, and returned home victorious with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-20, 25-10) sweep over the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats (0-2, 0-0 AMCC).
The Cougars did not hold back as senior
Becca Gesner had 12 kills, followed by junior
Maddy Roberts and sophomore
Evie White who each had seven.
Freshman
Kate Giannetta made a name for herself. She played all three sets earning 22 assists, six aces, and three digs, totaling seven of the Cougars points for the night.
Sophomore
Delaney Schwind also added another 12 assists.
It wasn't just about the attack as junior
Kelly Dougherty had 18 digs and Roberts followed closely behind her with 10.
The Cougars are back in action this weekend when they head to Alliance, OH for a weekend tournament. Their first match up is against Carnegie Mellon this Friday, September 4th, at 5PM.
