LORETTO, Pa. – The Chatham men's soccer team (1-3-2, 0-0-1 PAC) secured their first victory of the season, defeating the Saint Francis Red Wolves (0-3-0) 2-1.

Bennett Haas scored first for the Cougars early in the second half for his second goal of the season. The Red Wolves would respond quickly to make the game 1-1, but junior defender
Francis LaBarbera would break the tie straight from a free kick for his first career goal putting the Cougars back in the lead and holding on for the win.
Chatham would hold the lead with constant pressure, drawing 15 corner kicks and tallying 10 shots on goal, with 7 of those coming in the second half. The 26 total shots from the Cougars marks their most in a single game in 5 years.
Senior goalkeeper
Max Cottrill notched his 10th career win while making 2 saves. The win also marks the first career victory for head coach
Nick Taljan.
The Cougars will remain on the road this Wednesday September 23rd for an interstate PAC matchup in Steubenville, Ohio against Franciscan.
