TRAFFORD, Pa. — On Monday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) announced its weekly award winners for the final regular-season week of the 2026 season.
Chatham senior RHP Matt Bamford took home the PAC Pitcher of the Week Award following an exceptional start in the playoff-clinching win over Franciscan on Saturday.
The Belle Vernon, Pa, native tossed 6 strong innings, limiting the Barons to two earned runs while striking six. He earned his team's leading 8th win of the season.
Bamford wraps up the regular season ranking in the top five in several major pitching categories. He currently leads the PAC with 82 strikeouts.
The Cougars will be in action on Wednesday, May 6th, for the opening game of the PAC Tournament, against No. 1 Westminster. First pitch is scheduled for 11 am in Washington, PA.
