WINTER HAVEN, Fl. – Chatham Baseball (11-1, 0-0 PAC) closed out their trip to Florida with two victories over Pitt Greensburg (1-4, 0-0 AMCC) on Saturday evening. The Cougars piled on runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take game one 8-2, then used a
Keegan McGraw walk-off single in game two to win 2-1 and extend their winning streak to a program record 7 games.
McGraw kicked off the scoring after a quiet first four innings from both teams offensively, bringing home
Zane Pollack in the top of the fifth.
Hayden Woodward would double in both McGraw and
Matt Brandt before being driven in on a
Cooper Baxter double that made the score 5-0 Chatham. The Bobcats would get two runs back in the bottom of the inning, but Woodward responded with an RBI single in the sixth for the Cougars. They would tack on two more runs in the inning on a walk and fielder's choice, and
Cason Bennett would shut the door to close out the victory.

Both teams were silent on offense for even longer in game two, with Pitt Greensburg breaking through for a run in the top of the sixth. The Cougars left the bases loaded in the bottom of the inning, but the bats were warmed up enough. In the seventh,
Caleb Jones led off with a base hit, and an error put two baserunners on for Chatham.
Devin Fluhmann bunted them over, and with one out McGraw singled to center field to bring home pinch runners
Brody Lavigne and
Evan Swift, continuing the Cougars' scorching start to 2026.
Gianni Cantini pitched a complete game to improve his record to 2-0 on the season. The junior allowed just one earned run on 4 hits and a walk while striking out 4. Jones was the only Chatham hitter with multiple hits in game two, going 2-3 at the plate. McGraw finished 1-3 with 2 RBIs for the Cougars.
Baseball will get a well-deserved week off before they get the chance to continue their record-breaking win streak on Saturday in Lancaster, Ohio, where they'll match up with bot Bluffton and Capital.
