Indoor Track and Field Prepare for the PAC Championship

PITTSBURGH, PA - On Thursday, the Chatham men's and women's indoor track and field team will head to Youngstown, OH to participate in the annual PAC Championship. 

For the men, the Cougars were picked to finish twelfth in the conference after having received a total of 12 points in the poll. The Cougars finished in eleventh place last year at the PAC Championships. 

Damarius Day was the only Cougar on the men's side to make the PAC Athletes to Watch list. As a first year Cougar, he has finished the season with a couple of top finishes in the 60M. 

As for the women, the Cougars were picked to finish eleventh in the conference after having receive a total of 20 points in the poll. The Cougars finished in fourth place last year at the PAC Championships. 

Three Cougars made the PAC Athletes to Watch list on the women's side. They are Eliana Borne, Najiyah Smith, and Sarah Yannayon

Borne has had a long and impressive first year with the Cougars as she has contributed to results in the Mile, 800M, and Distance Relay events. Smith continued to build on her previous year with the Cougars as she earned multiple top ten finishes this season in the High, Triple, and Long Jump. Rounding things out for the Cougars is Yannayon who has been a vital part of the Chatham throwing unit, contributing points in both Shot Put and the Weight Throw.

The Cougars will be in action action early on Thursday, February 27th, as they look to claim points and earn top finishes at the PAC Championship.
