PITTSBURGH, Pa. – After securing the number two seed out of the PAC South with Saturday's victory over Saint Vincent, defending champion Chatham Men's Basketball is set to host Grove City, the number three seed out of the PAC North, in the PAC Quarterfinal. Tip-off on Tuesday is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Athletic and Fitness Center.
The Cougars come into the matchup having won their final three games of the regular season and are currently riding a 10-game winning streak at home. Going back to last campaign, Chatham has won 19 of its last 20 games at the Athletic and Fitness Center, with its only loss coming to Penn State Altoona on Nov. 12. In 2024-25, the Cougars also opened their PAC Tournament by hosting the Wolverines, taking down Grove City 91-80 in the semifinals. Chatham defeated the Wolverines 67-61 on Jan. 17 at the Athletic and Fitness Center in the teams' only matchup this season.

Diaun Pinkett was a major factor in that contest, scoring a game-high 22 points while shooting 7-11 with 5 steals and 2 assists. Senior
Lovenson Xavier recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards, and graduate student
Zach Genther shot a perfect 3-3 from the field to finish with 9 points for the Cougars.
Chatham is currently fifth in the PAC in scoring offense (80 points per game) and seventh in defense (74.7 points allowed per game). Grove City stands at seventh in offense (70.4 PPG) but boasts the best scoring defense in the league (68.1 PAPG).
Pinkett and Xavier were the Cougars' top scorers in 2025-26. Pinkett finished the season fifth in the PAC with 17.5 PPG, while Xavier was eighth with 15.9 PPG. The Wolverines' top scorers on the campaign are Mike Christenson, who was third in the conference with 19.7 PPG, and Kyle Randle, who ranks seventh with 15.9 PPG.
The winner of this matchup will advance to the PAC Semifinal. With a victory, the Cougars would either visit #1 Westminster or host #4 Saint Vincent. A link to the bracket can be found

The winner of the PAC's Championship Tournament will receive the league's automatic qualifying bid to this year's Division III Championship Tournament. The selected Division III Championship teams, as well as the first and second round site selections, will be announced Monday, March 2nd. First and second round games are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, March 6-7.
