TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Tuesday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released its weekly award winners for Week 5 of the 2026 Men's Volleyball season.

Chatham first year outside hitter Derek Kintzer earned the Cougars' first weekly honor of the campaign, as the Reading, Pa. native was named PAC Newcomer of the Week following two stellar performances.
 
On Wednesday against Carlow, Kintzer contributed 5 kills, an ace, a block, and a dig to help Men's Volleyball sweep the Celtics. Then in Chatham's first conference matchup of the season at Geneva on Saturday, the Governor Mifflin product tallied 19 kills in the Cougars' five-set victory, recording an impressive .421 hitting percentage along with 6 digs, 5 blocks and 2 assists.
 
Chatham now sits at 7-3 and 1-0 in PAC play. The Cougars currently pace the PAC in opponent hitting percentage (.096) and digs per set (11.65).
 
Kintzer and Chatham will head to Hiram on Friday for a 7 p.m. contest against the Terriers.
