Rochester, NY - On Monday, the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) released its weekly awards for the week of January 19th. Among the players recognized were Cougars forward Michael Roby and goaltender Cameron Kuntar.
Michael Roby was named Co-UCHC Player of the Week, for the second time this season, after staying hot over the weekend series sweep of St John Fisher. The Philadelphia, Pa native, scored 3 key goals across the weekend, including Chatham's first 2 goals of game two, putting them out in front. Roby's 17 goals lead the UCHC, and he has scored a goal in each of his last 7 games. On his 7-game point streak, Roby has been tearing up the competition, recording 9 goals, 4 assists, and totaling 13 points over the timeframe.
Cameron Kuntar was named Co-UCHC Goaltender of the Week, for the third time this season, after starting and earning a win in Chatham's two victories over the weekend. His strong play was highlighted by a 37-save performance in game one and a 36-save performance in game two. He finished the weekend with a .961 save percentage. The Williamsville, NY native currently ranks second in the UCHC in season-long save percentage (.944%) and first in goal against average (1.86).
