PITTSBURGH, PA - After wrapping up day one of the Western PA Invite, the Chatham men's (1-5, 1-4 PAC) and women's (3-4, 3-3 PAC) swim and dive teams look to improve their scores with more events tomorrow.
The men would find themselves finishing in 4th place at the end of today's events with 48 points.
Jack Mitchell secured decent points for the Cougars with his 7th place finish in the 200 Yard Backstroke.
Caleb Trainum would follow behind with some points of his own with an 11th place finish in the 200 Yard Butterfly and 15th place finish in the 200 Yard IM. Securing the last few individual points would be
Ethan Hopkins with a 15th place finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke,
Brady Gardner with a 16th place in the 500 Yard Free, and
Max Rollins getting a 16th place finish in the 200 Yard IM.
As for the men's 200 Free Relay team, Trainum, Rollins, Hopkins, and Kenny McFerron would earn 11th place and add even more points to the Cougars total.
The women would end day one in 6th place with 11 points overall.
Those points came from
Hannah Uhrinek who finished 10th in the 200 Yard Butterfly and
Alayna Kercher who finished 13th in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
The Cougars are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, January 24th for day two of the Western PA Invite kicking off at 12:15 PM right down the road at Carnegie Mellon University.
