Women's Track and Field Finish 12th in Muskie Meet #1

NEW CONCORD, OH - It was a long day for the Chatham women's indoor track and field team as they took part in Muskie Meet #1. They would finish 12th out of 15 on the day. 

Najiyah Smith made a name for herself in the field today as she claimed top 15 spots in three different events. She earned a 4th place finish in the triple jump, a 7th place finish in the high jump, and then finsihed things off with a 15th place finish in the long jump. 

Virginia Malkin would also earn a top 10 spot on the leader board as she claimed a 6th place finish in the 400 dash. 

Eliana Borne would round out the top 15 finishes for the Cougars with her 14th place finish in the 800 run and her 15th place finish in the 1 mile. 

To finish off placing for the Cougars on the track, Isabella Brunetto earned a 16th place finish in the 1000 run. Out in the field, Sarah Yannayon finished 23rd in the weight throw while Samantha Guerrero Mendoza secured 24th in the weight throw and 25th in shot put. 

The Cougars are back in action again when they head back to New Concord, OH for Muskie Meet #2 on Saturday, January 24th at 11 AM.
