PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Volleyball (2-0, 0-0 PAC) made it six consecutive set victories to begin their season by defeating Bridgewater (1-2, 0-0 ODAC) in their home opener 3-0.

Ben Shelestak tallied 10 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks and 9 digs to lead the Cougars. Junior
Tim McCabe recorded 10 kills and 3 blocks. First year
Evan Barrick served up 2 aces for Chatham. First year George Armani blocked a game-high 4 Eagle attacks, and sophomore
RJ Nagg assisted on 25 Cougar kills.
A run of six consecutive Chatham points with three kills from Shelestak put the Cougars up in the first set 13-7. Chatham would easily close out the first set with a 5-0 run, including kills from Paul and George. Barrick's ace in the second set gave the Cougars a 12-7 lead, but Bridgewater came back to take an 18-17 advantage. With Chatham down 24-23, Shelestak recorded a kill and an ace to keep the Cougars alive before they captured the set with a Paul kill. The Eagles fought in the third set to try and extend the match, but the Chatham offense was overwhelming. Another Paul kill gave the Cougars match point, on which McCabe fired home his 10th kill to seal the match win.
Chatham finished the match with a .218 attacking percentage to Bridgewater's -.037. The Cougars held the edge in kills 35-23.
Men's Volleyball returns to action Wednesday at Carlow, with the first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
