Men's Volleyball Continues Perfect 2026

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Volleyball (3-0, 0-0 PAC) swept their third consecutive game to begin 2026, defeating Carlow (0-2, 0-0 AMCC) 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-9).
 
Junior Tim McCabe recorded a career-high 15 kills with a program-record .882 hitting percentage to lead the Cougars. First year Derek Paul contributed 7 kills and an ace for Chatham. Junior Ben Shelestak had 6 kills with a .333 attacking percentage, 10 digs and an ace. First-years Evan Barrick and Armani George both tallied 3 service aces for the Cougars. Sophomore RJ Nagg dished out 22 assists.
 
Chatham's 8 consecutive points in set one with 3 aces from George set the tone for the match. The Cougars captured the first set with five consecutive points that included 2 kills by Paul. Chatham won 7 of the final 9 points in a dominant second set win with 3 McCabe kills in that span. All three Barrick aces came in a 7-point Cougar run in set three, and a Jordan Haas ace along with another Paul kill helped Chatham close a 16-point fifth set victory and the match.
 
The win marks the first 3-game winning streak in program history.  The Cougars' .474 hitting percentage was also their highest in program history. Chatham held Carlow to a .053 attacking percentage in the match.
 
The Cougars host Mount Aloysius in their next match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
