PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Basketball (10-4, 5-1 PAC) trailed most of Saturday afternoon's contest against Grove City (5-10, 1-4) but grinded out a 67-61 victory to collect their seventh win in eight games.

Diaun Pinkett tallied a game high 22 points for the Cougars, shooting 7-11 from the field with 2 assists and a game-high 5 steals. Senior
Lovenson Xavier recorded his second consecutive double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Graduate student Zach genther scored 9 points with 4 rebounds, connecting on both of his three-point attempts. Senior

Drew Vizenor each contributed 7 points for Chatham.
The Cougars would trail 14-7 seven minutes into the contest, but slowly cut into the Wolverines' lead. With five minute remaining in the half, TenBerge drained a three to put Chatham ahead 24-23. A Pinkett triple gave the Cougars a 28-27 advantage, but Grove City scored the final five points in the half to take a 4-point lead into the locker room.
Vizenor opened the second half scoring with a layup, but the Wolverines slowly pulled away until they held a 48-40 lead with 11 minutes to play. The Cougars then responded with an 8-0 run that included 4 points from
Lasse Bungart, and the game remained within a possession for a while. Grove City held its final lead at 56-54 with 5 minutes on clock, but a Genther triple put Chatham into the lead, and a Xavier three-pointer capped a 10-0 Cougar run that would secure the victory.
Chatham shot 40 percent from the field for the contest (22-55). The Cougars held the Wolverines to 3-15 (20%) from three-point range, the second-lowest percentage by a Cougar opponent in 2025-26.
Men's Basketball will put its five-game winning streak on the line Wednesday when they host Franciscan at 7 p.m.
