PITTSBURGH, PA - The Chatham men's soccer team (2-6-2, 0-1-1 PAC) dropped their first conference game of the season against the Franciscan Barons (4-6, 2-0 PAC) this evening in a 1-0 loss.
The match up between the Cougars and Barons was about fairly, evenly game. A goal in the 89th minute from the Barons would be just enough to edge the difference between the two teams.
Three Cougars looked to find the back of the net as
Izeyah Romo,
Nico Gibbins, and
Josh Hole all had a shot on goal. Romo and
Xavier Johnston each had a shot has well.
Goalkeeper
Maxwell Cottrill would have to make two saves on the night as the Cougar back line held the Barons to only three shots.
The Cougars will hit the road next Wednesday, October 1st, when they head to Greenville, PA to take on the Thiel Tomcats at 7:30 PM.
