Men's Cross Country Team

Cross Country 2025 Season Preview

Pittsburgh, PA. - The Cougars are looking to improve on their placement within the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) on both the women's and men's sides of things. Last season, the women's team finished eighth in the PAC, while the men's team ended the season ranked tenth in the PAC.

Head coach Rebecca Pennington, entering her second year at the helm of Chatham's cross-country teams, plans to implement a new variety of training locations in Pittsburgh, focusing on different terrains to develop the team's identity and individual skill sets.

"The team is working to build mental strength as well as working with some new training strategies to increase speed," Coach Pennington outlined.

Despite having a younger squad, the ability for the talented women's team to push themselves mentally and grow together can help the team reach their conference goals.

"We will see some emerging leaders and talent on the Women's XC team that will translate well in conference performance," Coach Pennington commented.

Both teams will be in action, starting their season up in New Wilmington, PA, on August 29th at the Westminster-Fisher Invitational.
