Burd comes to Chatham from Grove City, where he served as assistant track & field and cross country coach. The Wolverines' men and women combined for six PAC Track & Field titles with Burd as an assistant.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to join Chatham University as the Head Track Coach," Burd shared. "This is a program with tremendous potential, and I'm committed to building a winning culture of excellence, accountability, and growth, both on and off the track. I look forward to working with these talented student-athletes and helping them reach new heights individually and as a team."

Before Grove City, Burd worked as a graduate assistant track and field coach at Eastern University. His coaching career began at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa, where he served as head coach of sprints, hurdles and relays for two seasons.

Burd graduated from Thiel with a bachelor's degree in mass communication. He competed in track and field as a Tomcat from 2018-2021, where he served as a team captain.
