Men's Lacrosse Falls in PAC Title Game

Box Score GROVE CITY, Pa. - On Saturday, the #2 Cougars took on the #1 Grove City Wolverines in the PAC title game. The Cougars were outmatched in the game and lost by a final score of 22-7.

The Cougars took the early lead when Jacob Lubawy scored the first goal of the game exactly one minute into the game. That would be the last time the Cougars held the lead as the Wolverines scored the following four goals and led 7-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Wolverines did not let up in the second quarter as they took a 12-4 lead into halftime. The Cougars only managed one goal in the third quarter and trailed 17-4 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Cougars added three more and lost by a final score of 22-7.

The Cougars were led offensively by Lubawy who had three goals. Ethan Rinker and Tanner Marsh each had two goals. Bryce Kerrigan and Ethan Joshi led the team with two caused turnovers. Joshi and Cody Randal each had three ground balls. Zen Smith was in goal for the Cougars and made 21 saves and ended the game with a 48.8% save rate.

The Cougars end their season with a 13-6 overall record and a 7-1 record in the PAC.
