Men's Lacrosse Set for PAC Title Game

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - On Saturday the Cougars men's lacrosse team will play in their first PAC Championship Game in program history. They will take on the preseason favorite to win the conference and #1 seeded Grove City on the road.

The Cougars entered the PAC Playoffs as the #2 seed in the conference. The Cougars were supposed to play the Saint Vincent Bearcats at home on April 30th. However, after the storm that blew through the area on April 29th UPMC Graham Field was without power. That caused the game to be relocated to be played at Saint Vincent. The location did not deter the Cougars as they won the first playoff game in program history 10-7.

That sets the Cougars up with a PAC Finals match up with the Grove City Wolverines. The Wolverines and Cougars played earlier this season on April 2nd, also at Grove City. The Wolverines came out on top in that game 17-5. Liam Rooney had two goals and an assist and Thomas Whitaker had two goals as well.

The Cougars and Wolverines will square off in Grove City, Pa. on May 3rd at 7 PM, with the winner securing a place in the NCAA Tournament.
