PAC OTF Championships Preview

TRAFFORD, Pa. (pacathletics.org) - The 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for this Thursday-Friday, May 1-2 at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.Va. 

Note for Spectators coming to Mylan Park: There will be a $5 charge for parking this year.

The 2025 championships will begin Thursday at 2:30 p.m. with six field event finals, including men's and women's javelin, men's and women's triple jump and men's and women's pole vault. Preliminaries in the women's 100 meters and 100-meter hurdles and the men's 100 meters and 110-meter hurdles will be the first events held on the track. Following those preliminaries will be the Women's and then Men's 3,000-meter Steeplechase before the final events on Thursday evening, the Women's and then Men's 10,000-meter run.

Twenty-eight event finals are scheduled to get underway at 2 p.m. Friday, starting with women's high jump and shot put and men's long jump and discus in the field. Events on the track begin at 2:30 with the Women's 400-meter relay, followed by the Men's 400-meter Relay The awards ceremony is tentatively planned for 7:05 p.m. Friday evening.

For Chatham, Aurielle Brunner is back after winning the PAC Most Outstanding Field Performer last season. She won the triple jump (12.22m) and the long jump (5.81m), added a second place in the high jump and in addition to her effort in the field, Brunner also won the 200 (24.74) and finished second in the 100. This year, she is the top seed in the conference in the long jump, triple jump and 400-meter hurdles. Also returning on the women's side for Chatham are Piper Young and Kayla Johnson, who placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles and sixth in the shot put respectively in last year's event.

Grove City was selected as the favorite in the pre-championships coaches poll, collecting ten first-place votes and 100 points, while Westminster (87 points) and Allegheny (86 points, one first-place vote) came in second and third, respectively.  Next was Saint Vincent collecting 64 points, followed by Geneva with 62 and Chatham (60). Franciscan was selected seventh with 46 points, then W&J with 43, Waynesburg (27), Thiel (17) and Bethany (13).

On the men's side, Justin Knox had multiple top-6 finishes in last year's meet, including a second place finish in the 400-meter dash. Jumpers Seth Sager, who took third in the high jump, and Brett Poles, who finished seventh in the triple jump, are back in action as well. 

Division III National Qualifiers
For each woman's individual event contested (including the pentathlon), the top 20 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each men's individual event contested (including the heptathlon), the top 20 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared teams will be accepted into the competition.
