Cougars Take Down the Lions of Penn State Beaver

PITTSBURGH PA - The Cougars hosted a non conference double header against the Penn State Beaver Lions.

In game one, Chatham won 3-2. Hannah Chenault, Victoria Murren and Kayleen Garcia all went 1/3 at the plate with Murren and Garcia stealing a bag each. Irene Martin went 2/4 with a double and a stolen base. Murren (2-3) pitched through all 7 innings. She let up 2 runs off 4 hits and collected 6 strikeouts.

In game two, Chatham won 6-3. Anna Borst went 2/3 with 2 stolen bases. Irene Martin, Victoria Murren, Hannah Chenault and Cloe Lopez all hit doubles, with Isabelle Griswold hitting a triple to help bolster the Cougar offense. Josie Underdonk (3-5) got the win on the mound. She went all 7, with 3 runs off 5 hits and 4 strikeouts.

The Cougars (10-20 Overall) (2-8 in PAC) will take on Waynesburg on April 12 at 1:00 and 3:00pm.
