KISSIMMEE FL - The Cougars took on Alvernia and North Central to wrap up their Florida spring training schedule.
In game one against Alvernia, the Cougars were once again mercy ruled. The game finished with a score of 11-2 after 5 innings played. Chatham was held at only 5 hits out of their 19 at bats.
Chelsea Stabile and
Anna Borst both went 1/3 at the plate and
Cloe Lopez finished the game 2/2 with an RBI.
Cailyn Lucas faced 19 batters and let up 9 hits with 2 strikeouts in her 2.2 innings on the bump.
In game two against North Central, the Cougars finally got their bounce back win, defeating North Central 11-3 and ultimately mercy ruling them by the 5th inning.
Chelsea Stabile went 2/4 with a double and an RBI. Isabella Griswold finished the game 2/2 with 3 RBI's and
Cloe Lopez went 2/3 with 3 RBI's and a home run.
Victoria Murren had a good day on the mound, collecting 7 strikeouts in 5 innings as well as only giving up 3 hits to the North Central offense.
The cougars wrap up their Florida spring training schedule with an overall record of 3-7. They will begin their regular season against Oberlin in a doubleheader set for Saturday March 15.
