KISSIMMEE FL - The Cougars had a rough day on the field in their third day of spring training, getting mercy ruled by both Wentworth and Aurora.
In game one against Wentworth the Leopards struck out the Cougars 7 times with Chelsea Sabile leading the way going 2/3 and
Cloe Lopez recording the only other hit for Chatham. Stabile and
Irene Martin both collected 2 stolen bases as well.
Victoria Murren pitched through 3.1 innings giving up 5 hits and collected 3 strikeouts.
In game two against Aurora, the Cougars were shut down again. Aurora kept the Cougars at 2 hits for the 5 innings played.
Josie Underdonk and
Delaney Cole were the only two Cougars to hit the ball.
Sofia Zayas was on the mound and finished her 3 innings giving up 8 hits and a 16.33 ERA.
The Cougars will look to bounce back on their final gameday in the sunshine state. Chatham will face off against Alvernia and North Central at 10:30 and 1:45 on Thursday, March 6.
