DANVILLE, Va. - On Tuesday, the Cougars (4-2) completed a two game spring break trip to Virginia with a matchup against the Averett Cougars (1-5). Chatham were no match for Averett as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to a 20-5 victory.

Chatham scored the first six goals of the game across the first two quarters and led by 10 at half, 12-2. The second half was a little more balanced, but not much, as Chatham outscored Averett 8-3 across the final two quarters.

The Cougars had a trio of lethal scorers as Tanner Marsh, Jacob Lubawy and Ethan Rinker all added three goals to their season totals. Marsh also led the Cougars with three assists.Cody Randall led the way with 11 ground balls and Jesse Corser-James had three caused turnovers. The Cougars converted on all nine clear attempts and gained control of 26 of the 30 faceoffs.

The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday March 8th at 1 PM when they return to UPMC Graham Field to play host to McDaniel.
