PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Basketball (3-2, 0-0 PAC) scored 65 points in the second half of Sunday afternoon's game at Penn State Scranton (4-5, 2-1 PSUAC) en route to a 99-69 victory.

Lovenson Xavier led the game in scoring with 23 points for the Cougars on 9-16 shooting, adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks and a team-high 3 three-pointers made. Senior
Jake TenBerge recorded a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. TenBerge was 8-15 shooting and dished out 3 assists. Senior
Diaun Pinkett netted 16 points for Chatham along with 7 boards, a game-high 4 assists and 2 steals. Junior
Drew Vizenor nearly had a double-double, racking up 10 points and 9 rebounds. Graduate Student
Zach Genther scored 11 points and had 3 assists, and Senior
Donovan Callahan scored 10 points for the Cougars.

The Nittany Lions led 14-13 but would not lead for the rest of the contest. Back-to-back three-point baskets from Callahan and Genther helped fuel a 10-0 Chatham run before Penn State Scranton clawed back to within 2. The Nittany Lions would even the score at 32, and a couple of Pinkett layups to end the half left the score tied.

The Cougars caught fire to begin the second half, as Xavier, who scored 19 points in 9 second-half minutes, knocked down consecutive triples in the opening minute to give Chatham a 40-34 advantage. With the score 45-44, 8 points from Vizenor aided a 27-7 Cougar run that broke the game open. Penn State Scranton pulled the score to 74-61, but an ensuing 19-4 Chatham burst between seven and three minutes to go allowed the Cougars to win by 30.

Chatham's shot 52% from the field, their best shooting percentage of the season so far, including 53.9% from three-point range in the second half. The Cougars held the Nittany Lions to 38.1% from the field for their lowest shooting percentage against of the young season.

Chatham opens PAC play on Wednesday at Washington & Jefferson, with the game tipping off at 5:30 p.m.
