PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Men's Basketball (2-2, 0-0 PAC) grabbed their second win of the weekend, this one a thrilling 77-74 affair against Lynchburg (3-3, 0-0 ODAC) in front of a strong Cougar contingent as Men's Basketball celebrated their 2024-25 PAC Championship with a ring ceremony.

Drew Vizenor led Chatham with 22 points, shooting 6-13 from three-point range and blocking 2 shots. Senior
Jake TenBerge netted 18 points on 6-10 shooting, including 3 three-point baskets. Senior
Diaun Pinkett recorded a double-double on 14 points and a game-high 15 rebounds with 3 assists. Senior
Donovan Callahan scored 11 points while shooting 4-6 from the field off the bench, and senior
Lovenson Xavier tallied 7 points, 8 boards and 3 assists for the Cougars.
The Hornets raced out to a 7-2 lead in the opening 3 minutes of the game, but Chatham responded with a 10-0 run capped by a Xavier triple. After Lynchburg knotted the score at 14, the Cougars took control with a 14-5 run, highlighted by 8 points from TenBerge. Chatham would stretch their advantage to 35-25 after a couple of Vizenor three-pointers in the final two minutes of the half.
The Hornets went on a 12-run to begin the second half to take a 1-point lead, but the Cougars again responded by going on a 10-2 run with two more Vizenor threes. Lynchburg clawed back and got within 55-53 with nine minutes on the clock, but three-point baskets from TenBerge and Pinkett helped Chatham push their advantage back to 10 points. The Cougars would lead 75-66 with less than a minute remaining, but two three-pointers and a layup from the Hornets gave them a chance on the last possession. Lynchburg missed two potential game-tying three-pointers in the final seconds, and Chatham held on for the hard-fought victory.
The Cougars shot 41.9% from the floor to the Hornets' 40.9%. Chatham made just 12 of their 18 shots from the charity stripe, but were 39.4% from distance compared to Lynchburg's 30.8%. The Cougars drained 13 three-point baskets for the second consecutive game.
Chatham visits Penn State Scranton in their next matchup on Sunday, Nov. 30.
