CANTON, OH - It was the first day of the Malone Invitational for the Chatham men's and women's swim and dive teams (1-3).
The women finished the day with 71 points.
Alayna Kercher secured a 12th place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. The 400 yard medley relay team consisting of
Olivia Mucha,
Siera Schmitt,
Hannah Uhrinek, and
Carlie McClurg finished 14th. Right behind them, finishing 15th, was the 200 yard freestyle relay team consisting of McClurg, Uhrinek, Mucha and
Hannah Kane.
The men finished the day with 63.50 points.
The mens 400 yard medley relay team with
Cal Hockman,
Ethan Hopkins,
Caleb Trainum, and
Max Rollins took home a 15th place finish. Finishing in 16th place was the 200 yard freestyle relay team with Trainum, Kenny McFerron, Rollins, and Hockman.
Cal Hockman finished 18th in the 200 yard IM while
Caleb Trainum finished 20th. To round out the scoring on the day,
Max Rollins finished 19th in the 50 yard freestyle.
The Cougars are back in action for Day 2 of the Malone Invitational tomorrow morning in Canton, OH at 10 AM.
