TRAFFORD, Pa. - On Tuesday, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) released the preseason poll for women's swimming and diving. The Cougars were picked to finish fifth in the conference, and five Chatham Cougars were named as swimmers and divers to watch.
The Cougars were picked to finish fifth out of the nine teams in the PAC after having received a total of 35 points in the poll. They have won five conference meets in the last three seasons, finishing fourth in the PAC Championships last season with a 2-5 conference record and 4-6 overall.
Five Cougars made the PAC Swimmer and Divers to Watch list this year. They are distance free swimmer
Alayna Kercher, sprint free swimmer
Carlie McClurg, back/IM swimmer Olivia Mucha, breast/IM swimmer
Siera Schmitt, and fly/free swimmer
Hannah Uhrinek. Uhrinek was a 2024-25 First Team All-PAC swimmer last year while Kercher was a 2024-25 Second Team All-PAC swimmer.
The Cougars start their season on Friday October 24th at 6 PM when they travel to Latrobe, PA for a meet with the Saint Vincent Bearcats.
