PITTSBURGH, PA - The Chatham women's soccer team (7-3-2, 4-1 PAC) was able to squeak out a last minute goal against the Westminster Titans (1-7-3, 1-3-1 PAC) to secure the 1-0 win.
The Cougars advanced to their fourth straight win tonight as they defeated the Titans. Senior
Ainsley Smith scored with just under 10 minutes left in the game to secure the victory. She was assisted by fellow senior
Halle Marsalis who sent a perfectly placed, long through ball up to the forward.
The Cougar back line held the Titans to zero shots on goal as sophomore goalkeeper
Kyanni Escudero earned the shut out on the night.
While the Cougars may have only score once, they made sure to put plenty of pressure on the Titans with five shots on goal and seven corners.
The Cougars will be back in action this Friday, October 10th, at UPMC Graham Field to take on Washington and Jefferson at 5 PM.
