PITTSBURGH, PA - The Chatham women's soccer team (9-5-2, 6-3 PAC) took care of business tonight as they bounced back in a 3-0 win over Geneva College (6-6-4, 5-3-1 PAC).
The Cougars came back tonight ready to bounce back and secure the win against the Golden Tornadoes. Senior
Ainsley Smith would only need four minutes before she found the back of the net and put the Cougars up 1-0. Fellow senior
Halle Marsalis would add a goal of her own in the 11th minute to put Chatham up 2-0 in the first half.
The Cougars would round out their scoring when Marsalis was awarded a penalty kick just two minutes into the second half. The Cougars would out shoot the Golden Tornadoes 13-4.
Sophmore
Kyanni Escudero and the Cougar back line would hold down the fort as they secured the shutout. Escudero made a total of four saves on the night.
The Cougars will be back in action this Saturday, October 25th, when they travel to Latrobe, PA to take on the Saint Vincent Bearcats at 12 PM.
