PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Chatham Women's Volleyball (13-4, 8-2 PAC) suffered their first home conference defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon at the hands of Hiram (17-2, 9-1) by a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-23) scoreline.

The Cougars had the upper hand early, grabbing a 10-5 lead after a couple of kills from
Vanessa Mleczko and
Becca Gesner. That's when the Terriers stormed back, going on a 12-2 run to take a 17-12 lead. Then, after Chatham won back-to-back points to make it 17-14, Hiram took 8 of the final 9 points of the set for the match lead. The Cougars would not roll over, and a tight second set saw them hold a 21-20 advantage with the help of three
Paige Watson and
Annika Solfronk kills. The Terriers then took over once again, winning 5 of the final 6 points the set to go up in the match 2-0. In the third frame, Chatham never trailed by more than three points, but two Megan Chiang kills at the end of the set closed out the match.

Maggie Riley was the match leader in kills with 15 for Hiram. Chiang registered 13 kills and 3 blocks. Cyd'ni Taylor-Lewins finished with a match-high 6 blocks, and Kelly Hoffman recorded 36 assists and 23 digs for Hiram. The Terriers out-blocked the Cougars 8-2, and held Chatham to a .043 hitting percentage.

Solfronk's 10 kills led the Cougars. Mleczko's 2 aces were a match high.
Evelyn White recorded a team high 2 blocks.
Sierra Ricci tallied a match-high 28 digs, and
Delaney Schwind dished out 14 assists.
