PITTSBURGH – Chatham Men's Soccer (1-2-1) fell 3-1 to the Oberlin Yeomen (1-3-0) on Saturday at Shults Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Cougars took a 1-0 lead on a goal from
Luke Matzelle, who took a through ball from
Charlie Ayers. However, the Yeomen answered with a goal seven minutes later to knot it up at 1.
Oberlin then took the lead in the 66th minute by burying a loose ball in the box and tallied an insurance marker in the 81st minute.
The Yeomen placed 15 shots on goal, while the Cougars tallied six shots on goal.
Azavier Coppin led the Cougars with three shots on goal.
Men's Soccer will play its home opener on Wednesday evening against Juniata.
