PITTSBURGH PA - The Chatham Cougars faced off against Pitt Greensburg Bobcats today and came out on top.
The two teams began the game with high intensity, pushing their attackers and testing each other's defense, however UPG would find the first goal of the game. Lucas Killen would give UPG the lead early on in the 9' minute.
The Bobcat lead would not last long, as the Cougar's were able to answer back only a few minutes later.
Bryce Grubic would score in the 15' minute, tying the game at 1-1.
Azavier Coppin and
Justin Knox are credited for the assist.
The first half would end with the score knotted at 1-1.
The second half saw UPG with the majority of ball possession, but the Chatham attack managed to find their way to their second in the 76' minute. This time it was
Justin Knox who put the ball in the net after pick pocketing the Bobcat defense.
Shortly afterwards,
Azavier Coppin would make his way through half the pitch and into the UPG box where he collected the third and final goal of the game in the 79' minute, ensuring Chatham's win. The game would end 3-1.
The Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday September, against Allegheny at 5pm.
